Employees dismiss something as “not my job,” but this is actually avoiding personal accountability. If a part of your job has a purpose to a customer or client, you should care very much. Seth Godin talks about this as an “unfair advantage” that any company, no matter how small, can put to use.
If you and your team you work with commit to caring more that anyone else, you will win the hearts and business of those you serve.
It’s easy to minimize a problem – it takes courage to try to solve it.
How will you sweat the small stuff today?
And if you have not yet played Thimbleweed Park, I urge you to do so – it’s filled with great humor and challenging puzzles to help you practice sweating the small stuff – and you can play it on your computer, phone, or console (I bought it for the Nintendo Switch, so that’s the version I recommend).

Mega Man Legacy Collection is a celebration of the 8-bit history of Capcom’s iconic Blue Bomber. Featuring faithful reproductions of the series’ origins with the original six Mega Man games, the Legacy Collection will remind long-time fans and introduce newcomers to what made Mega Man such a popular and iconic character. In addition to the six Mega Man games, Mega Man Legacy Collection features new ways to experience the classic games with the Museum Mode and new Challenge Mode.
“Nobody knows what’s gonna happen at the end of the line, so you might as well enjoy the trip.”

One of the greatest point and click adventure games ever made has been remastered and just released yesterday for the PC and PS4/Vita. I have a soft spot for this type of game, going back to Maniac Mansion and Space Quest (and Kings Quest, and Police Quest, of course).
This quote is a particularly colorful take on “enjoying the journey of life.” I know it is easy to get caught up in our own goals, but we need to remember to slow down and enjoy the time spent along the way. This moment is one of a kind, and we are not promised tomorrow. We can all benefit from taking a moment to appreciate the present.
Maybe you find yourself impatient, wondering what to do while you are waiting for that next big event in life. I’ve found that I only feel frustrated or depressed if I focus too much on the future.
Live in the moment, and do those things that you can only do today. One day, you will look back and be glad that you did.
